Explore the roots of hip hop culture with Hip Hop Fundamentals. Dynamic and energetic dancers use breakdancing and audience participation to explore hip hop’s rich cultural history and how Black youth changed the world, focusing on youth empowerment, creativity, and working together, as embodied by hip hop’s four principles: Peace, Love, Unity, and Having Fun.
Video of this program – which features dancers performing from separate spaces – will be shared on the Youth Services and Programs Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/FLPYouthServices/) and be available for 5 days.
The Sundays on Stage series is made possible by funding from the Philadelphia City Institute Board of Managers.
